Speed is a product of technique — and the strength to repeat that technique, stride after stride, at full effort. After one session, Tom knows exactly where your athlete is, what their movement reveals, and what comes next.

Not a template. Not what worked for the last kid. Built around yours.

Every program starts with a full assessment — how your athlete moves, where they are in their development, and what their body is ready for. What follows is specific to them. Adjusted as they grow, as their season changes, and as they get stronger and faster.

How It Works

A framework.
Not a formula.

Sessions typically move through two phases — outside first, then inside. But what happens in each phase, and how much time is spent where, is determined by what your athlete needs that day. Tom reads the athlete, not the clock.

Phase One

Outside —
Speed & Movement

Sessions begin outside where movement patterns are built from the ground up. Dynamic warmup flows into sprint mechanics, acceleration work, and the technique that makes speed repeatable — stride after stride, late into a game.

Phase Two

Inside —
Strength & Power

Strength work is programmed to directly support what was built outside — not generic lifting, but specific strength for your athlete's sport, age, and development. For in-season athletes, this phase may focus on durability and the smaller muscles that keep them healthy through a long season.

Every session is different because every athlete is different. An athlete deep in their season may need mobility and durability work more than sprinting. A younger athlete may need more time on mechanics before adding load. Tom adjusts — session by session, athlete by athlete — because a program that doesn't adapt isn't a program. It's a schedule.

Foundation Builder

For athletes who are still figuring out how their body works — and what it's capable of. The goal here isn't performance yet. It's building the movement foundation that makes everything else possible: how to run, how to change direction, how to be strong. Get this right and the ceiling goes up significantly.

Track Two

Elite Developer

For athletes with a specific target in mind — a starting spot, a scholarship conversation, a higher level of competition. Elite isn't where you have to be to start here. It's where we're building toward. The work is specific, the standard is high, and the expectation is that your athlete shows up ready to be pushed.

These aren't two different programs — they're two different starting points. Many of Tom's athletes begin as Foundation Builders and grow into Elite Developers over time. The program evolves as they do. Where your athlete starts today doesn't define where they finish.

Tom Hoffman has spent more than forty years in this — as a competitive athlete who had to outwork everyone just to earn a spot, as a parent who watched his own child navigate the pressures of youth sports, and as a coach who has learned that the most important thing isn't the program. It's the person in front of you.

He knows what your athlete is going through. He knows what you're going through. That's not an accident — it's the whole point.
